Credentials: Dr. Lucas Bachmann is a Dual Board Certified Psychiatrist in both Child and Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Bachmann is board eligible in Forensic Psychiatry. He received his undergraduate degree from Bethel University and is a medical graduate of the American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Bachmann completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. He also completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the division of Law and Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine.
In addition to his work at Counseling Care, Dr. Bachmann is a forensic psychiatrist at the St. Peter, Minnesota Security Hospital.
Dr. Bachmann was an American Red Cross Mental Health Volunteer, for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort and volunteered for a Native American Health Care Clinic in Minnesota.

I believe that collaboration with my patients helps them maintain good health, and is beneficial in treating mental health challenges.”
Dr. Bachmann is licensed to practice medicine in Minnesota.

Credentials Dr. Gavin Meany is a board certified Psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of North Dakota, his medical school at the University of Sint Eustatius, and his undergraduate at the University of Minnesota.
In addition to his work at Counseling Care, Dr. Meany is a Medical Officer in the Minnesota Army National Guard. He also works as a medical director at a local insurance company.
Philosophy of Care “My approach towards my patients involves patience and empathy; listening and asking questions are my medical instruments. I believe in the importance of medical management of the whole patient. I promote the concepts of autonomy and shared decision making with my patients. I like to keep an open mind and encourage my patients to become experts in their own illness, often discovering the best investigators in themselves.”
